Challenge
SCG wanted to develop a CIS as a strategic enabler to provide
a competitive edge.
Solution
TMG functioned as the project manager during the design
phase of a custom in-house developed client/server CIS system. Work
included development of an installation plan consisting of detailed
work programs, timelines, change control, time reporting, issue
tracking, quality assurance program, etc. TMG continued to provide
project management and quality assurance services during the installation
phase of a custom in-house developed client/server CIS system. This
work included the management of a project team of 200 people. The
process continued with the procurement of a batch processing engine
to incorporate into the custom in-house CIS. This work included
development of a best and final offer, an installation plan, contract
negotiations and subsequent presentations and approvals.
Result
The CIS went go-live in 2005.
