Challenge
Questar had one failed CIS implementation. They were very
interested in not repeating that experience and, consequently, spent
more than a year developing an in-house selection and evaluation
process.
Solution
TMG was awarded a contract to assist Questar with contract
negotiations with the selected CIS vendor, SPL Worldgroup. Leading
up to the negotiations, TMG assisted with the issuance of a Request
for Information to arrive at the best and final contract price.
TMG worked with Questar on the installation effort as the Quality
Assurance Manager, an independent third party responsible for assisting
with risk mitigation of the project.
Result
Questar selected SPL’s CorDaptix and project implementation
began in November 2002. Questar has an internal Information Technology
division that performed the bulk of the work in conversion, interfaces,
extensions and reports, requiring less-than-average technical support
from the vendor. The projected timeline was 18 months. Questar met
that schedule with a go-live in July 2004.
