Challenge
Portland wanted to replace its legacy billing system to accommodate
the needs of a deregulated environment. PGE implemented the SCT
BANNER CIS solution across its 800,000 customers. The initial installation
was intended for its large commercial and industrial customers,
followed by a second installation for its remaining customers. However,
legislation delayed retail choice, forcing the company to rethink
its phased installation approach.
Solution
TMG worked with the utility to negotiate contracts and
develop an installation design blueprint. TMG provided a third party
Quality Assurance service across all project activities during the
two-year installation effort, reporting directly to a senior executive
committee.
