Platte River Power Authority

Challenge
The company wanted to replace the legacy billing systems at member cities. PRPA operates under an organic contract with the municipalities of Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont and Loveland, on whose behalf Platte River acts as a wholesale electric utility, acquiring, constructing and operating generation capacity and supplying electric energy on a requirements basis. Platte River is a political subdivision and public corporation of the State of Colorado. In order to reach a solution, two of the cities would have to be brought together with a third party.

Solution
TMG assisted the cities of Longmont and Fort Collins in a Product Evaluation and Selection effort.

Result
The result was the selection of the SCT Banner CIS product solution. The solution was implemented in a co-sourced environment where PRPA developed a data center, licensed the software and is utilizing fiber optic connectivity with the two cities. The installation effort at both cities was completed successfully.
