Omaha Public Power District (OPPD)

Challenge
Omaha Public Power was looking for a flexible CIS to accommodate quick time-to-market for new products and services. Flexibility was needed to enable customer choice.

Solution
TMG assisted the utility in performing a CIS evaluation and selection process. The effort started with the development of a design blueprint, followed by the development and issuance of an RFP. Vendors submitted proposals which were subsequently evaluated and a single vendor finalist was identified. The team worked to properly define project scope, confirm the solution, negotiate the contract package and receive approval to continue with installation activities.

Result
The SPL solution was successfully implemented and it went live in April 2000.
