City of Mesa, Arizona

Challenge
Faced with retail choice in the electric market and increasing customer service needs, the City initiated a procurement to select and implement a new CIS solution by January 1, 2002.

Solution
TMG developed a design blueprint, developed an RFP, received and evaluated vendor proposals, conducted vendor confirmation activities, developed an installation plan, negotiated contracts, and presented the solution for approval. The City selected the SCT Banner solution.

Result
The installation was segmented into two phases. The first phase implemented the base solution for deregulation in 12 months. The second phase, which took six months, implemented additional interfaces and an upgrade to version 3.0 -- a significant product upgrade. The project was completed in December 2000.
