Hydro Ottawa
Challenge
Hydro Ottawa was created by the consolidation of five utilities
into a single utility operating a customer system from Advanced
Utility Systems Corporation. The organization was experiencing extensive
problems in post implementation.
Solutions
TMG was asked to conduct an assessment of Hydro Ottawa’s
customer operations including the Advanced customer system, front-office
customer operations, and back-office customer operations. This would
be followed by a CIS stabilization effort and, ultimately, the selection
and installation of a new CIS solution.
Results
The audit resulted in delivery of a customer system blueprint. TMG worked with Advanced and Hydro to develop a plan to stabilize
the production environment and engage in a product evaluation and
selection effort. The system was stabilized and the CIS evaluation
and selection effort resulted in the selection of the PeopleSoft
CIS implemented by BearingPoint. TMG provided Hydro Ottawa
with installation oversight during the 16.5-month implementation
of the PeopleSoft CIS solution.
