Challenge
Customer choice within the Arizona marketplace was rapidly approaching
and APS’s retail company needed a CIS infrastructure very
quickly for its new company. The infrastructure was to be built
in an evolving environment with new definitions of deregulation
requirements.
Solution
TMG assisted in identifying viable outsourcing candidates, development
of an RFP, evaluating proposals, solution confirmation, installation
planning, contract negotiations, and approvals. APS selected the
E-CIS outsourced solution from Orcom due to its deregulation capabilities
and its outsourcing success with other utilities. The solution included:
call center, CIS, bill production and distribution, commodity management
and the marketer interface.
Results
TMG provided CIS performance and operational metrics to APS to be
used in the evaluation of its mainframe CIS with a view toward replacement.
