City of Albuquerque
CIS Challenge
The City went through a 2 year procurement for the selection of
a new CIS. Prior to 2003, changes in administration and direction
resulted in 2 cancelled procurements.
Solution
With assistance from TMG, the City decided to emphasize its need
for a vendor to perform the bulk of the implementation services.
The RFP explicitly requested that the vendor lead and mentor the
City through change management and project management.
Result
Contracts were signed with PeopleSoft for their PeopleSoft CIS and
SPL for implementation services. Subcontractors to SPL include Bearing
Point and RESPEC, a local Albuquerque firm. The project kicked off
in January 2004 and the expected timeline was 15 months with a budget
of $6.5 million.
CRM Challenge
Parallel to their CIS project, the City decided to implement
a 3-1-1 Citizen Contact center.
The City selected PeopleSoft CRM software to support the center
and Unisys selected as the services company to implement the software
solution and the customer contact center.
Solution
TMG directed and participated in the contract negotiation
process with Unisys.
Result
A contract was signed in August 2004.
